Infrastructure Academy Case Study

New Leaf was asked to create the brand platform for Infrastructure Academy whose mission is to help at-risk youth prepare for rewarding careers in industries that provide water, energy, and infrastructure to our communities. Two brands were developed to achieve their ambitious social and business objectives to their diverse audiences.

The corporate logo is based on the idea of a ‘pipeline’ both literally (related to the utilities) and figuratively (as a “pipeline” or direct pathway toward a promising future in these professions). The logo was developed to communicate the innovative business and social model of the Infrastructure Academy to the corporate and fundraising community.

Another brand was developed for their after school youth programs. The logo is a play on the ‘on’ button on a computer, symbolizing energy and power. From interviewing a number of the students, a “Make it Real” theme was developed for the brochure and recruiting video, inspiring youth that they can make their dreams a reality.
